Put Aways for Stock: Put items away either into the warehouse or cross-dock to shipping. Receipting stock can be order by order or with multiple orders. For multiple orders you can use the put away worksheets to suggest the most efficient order groupings and put away processes.
Pick & Dispatch: Picking items can be performed in several ways: per order, to stage, to tote. You can pick orders individually or group multiple orders together. Pick and dispatch screens are independent of sales order screens enabling multiple locations to pick for the same order at the same time.
Cross Docking: Automate the picking process for back orders by allowing cross docking so inventory received that has backorders is highlighted and placed into a cross docking location for immediate pick and dispatch.
Locations: Each location in the company that holds stock can be defined with its own logical rules for inventory management. This includes if stock requires a seperate receipt and/or put away process (segregation of duties) or seperate pick and dispatch processes. You can also define bin policies by Location.
Bins: Set up your warehouse layout including categorisation and size limitations on bins. Post and hold stock quantities on hand by bin and even set logical rules for Dynamics NAV to use and then suggest bin locations for stock receipting and dispatch.
Physical Stocktakes: Run rolling or periodic stock takes in Dynamics NAV. Posted stock takes maintain a full audit history to see adjustments made, by who and when.
Item Transfers: Run reports to suggest inventory transfer requirements between locations. Transfer processes feel and look like a normal inventory receipt or dispatch for consistency of operations for warehouse staff.
Transaction History: All posted stock transactions are accessable as either a posted document or a ledger entry. Ledger entries give summaries of all posted stock movements plus relevant costs and/or internal warehouse movements and bin contents. Posted documents (such as posted shipments) give detailed information on the stock transaction such as shipping details and warehouse user ID.
