Company Background

Refrigeration Engineering Ltd was Formed in 1952, as a privately owned New Zealand company, to cater for the steadily expanding meat freezing and processing industry.

Since then Refrigeration Engineering Limited has grown into a multi-company, multi-industry organisation with over 300 staff providing engineering skills and products around the world.

The original company, over a 50 year period, has transformed into a group of companies with the capability of designing, manufacuring and installing the total processing requirements of a modern food processing facility in every part of the world. These refrigeration systems can range from small chilling room applications to large complex multi-stage systems, such as large food processing factories with many chilling and freezing applications

Refrigeration Engineering Ltd implemented Dynamics Navision in 2000 and has since rolled the solution out across its entire group.

Our industrial division is involved in custom manufacturing jobs ranging from the small to the very large and complex. With strong pressure on margins we needed a system that could record job budgets and track costs at every step of our manufacturing process to see if we are on target.

Navision enables our Engineers to do just that so we know as early as possible when a job's costs are not tracking to budget. In addition we can see overviews of our manufacturing capacities versus planned workloads to maximise the operational efficiencies of our manufacturing facilities.

These capabilities have allowed us to improve our margins and this has reflected positively on our company profitability.
