Company Background

Arano is one of the oldest manufacturers of chilled juice in New Zealand. Arano began in the mid 1960's with the planting of the Valencia Orange and Tangelo trees in the fertile land and temperature climate of Gisborne, perfect citrus growing territory.

In 1982, they started squeezing the delicious fruit and delivering to customers. Ever since, Arano has had the reputation for producing the best tasting and most innovative chilled juice products on the market.

In 2008 Arano went on the search for an ERP/Accounting system to replace their aging system (Aurora). One of the many requirements was the ability to automate many company specific processes and also implement accurate product costing and stock controls.

CAD Advanced and Dynamics NAV was chosen as the preferred solution due to their strong business process knowledge and also cost effective implementation methods. Dynamics NAV went live at Arano in November 2008 with some of the main system features being:

• Automated importation and processing of remote sales agents orders.

• Simple yet accurate production costing system.

• Multiple documents produced for differing customer requirements (I.e. seven different statements).

• Multiple companies and locations supported.

• Modified sales and inventoy management screens locked down to operate per specific Arano process requirements

• Automation of agent distribution fee calculations and invoice processing.
