Sulkem Company Ltd is a small niche importer and distributor of Food and Food ingredients based in Auckland, New Zealand. As well as supplying major customers such as Foodstuffs and Gilmours they also supply the route trade via a distribution network.

Key product lines for Sulkem Company Ltd include canned fish, coconut cream, flour and feta cheese. A number of their products have short shelf lives or special storage requirements (chilled storage).

Sulkem Company Ltd implemented Dynamics Navision in 1999 and has recently successfully upgraded to the latest version.

With increasing emphasis on food safety and trace-ability Sulkem Company Ltd required a system that could assist us in tracking product supplied to a customer back to its original source of supply.

Navision enables us to do this with its end to end lot and serial number tracking facilities. In addition we can ensure item expiry dates are entered on product receipt so we can review stock on hand and manage stock appropriately as it ages.

These capabilities have allowed us to improve our supply chain and lower stock losses and wastage.
